This survey is apart of one of my projects for my women's health class. My group has worked really hard with a grad studnet to make sure that all of the questions in this survey are validated and we hope to get 100+ female students to take our survey so we can present valid results to BYU's administration panel. This survey does ask questions to determine if students feel that BYU needs private nursing lounges for breastfeeding, so if that makes you uncomfortable and you don't want to take this surey I completely understand. Thanks for participating!

What were the results of your survey? Do you think there will be any action taken? I just took your survey, even though I don't fit the demographic, and the semester is over :-D
I graduated from BYU in 2003. I had my first baby in November 2001. The next semester I pumped for him on T/Th and was home mostly full time MWF. I pumped on the couch in the bathroom of the first floor of the Clyde Building.
The next semester he came to class with me. I never asked permission from my professors. I breastfed in classes full of men. I figured it was better to deal with a little breastfeeding than a screaming baby! I have absolutely no qualms about breasfeeding in public, though I know that this is a huge consideration for many women.
The next semester my baby was old enough that I didn't have to pump, even though I did continue to breastfeed him until age 4.
After graduation I ended up having to work full time and have since had two more babies. I have breastfed them and given them expressed milk. Neither ever had formula. The second breastfed until age 4 and the youngest is only 1, so is still going strong.
I hope that your research had a real impact and that changes will be made to make BYU more mom/baby friendly!
Most of the survey results are posted right above this survey post. I really hope that more action will take place. My class project for women's health was finding out if BYU students thought BYU was already a breastfeeding friendly place or if there needed to be improvements. In the fall, I believe the class project will be taking action to improve nursing lounges with potential grant money.
